I forgot to mention that turtle nest #5 spewed forth 12 little ones today. I keep thinking I should log all my sightings of wildlife and then compare counts year to year but I never seem to do it. By the way, I've noticed that turtles seem to like full moons - a nesting and a hatching have occurred around full moons that I know of this year.

We planted dwarf oleanders and red firecrackers this week. I told the sprinkler man that he should bless the landscapers because they provide him guaranteed employment. He's been here almost everyday mending the spaded sprinkler and electrical lines. We also did a lot of jungle cutting and added pine needle mulch. It's not perfect yet but it looks ever so much better. I wonder how long it will take the oleanders to fill in. They are supposed to provide us with some privacy from next door but today it's pretty barren.

I guess it has been awhile since my last post . . . oh, well.

Today's lunch creation needs to be recorded for posterity. It was excellent!

lightly toasted sourdough bread
spread with Marie's Caesar dressing
top with slices of tofu sauteed in peanut oil and sprinkled with Italian seasoning
sprinkly with grated Mozarella
add tomato slices and broil until cheese melts

Lovely!
